ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Catholic Social Services is holding a golf outing at Fuller’s Fairways on August 7th.
The event is the twenty-first annual fundraiser of its kind. Regional Director Dave Desender tells exactly where the money is going made from the outing as well as other places to donate.
“The proceeds go to support the Payee Services at Catholic Social Services. wE manage people’s money, people who maybe suffer from a disability and struggle with managing their finances. We do that for them and make sure their essential living needs are being met and also make sure that they can stay independent in the community.”
The event costs three hundred dollar per team to participate in and includes beverages and a boxed lunch. Teams are competing for a prize as well as entering a lottery.
“We’ve been doing a lottery draw for the last few years. We pay first and second place for the scramble, then we also do a lottery draw where all the teams get put into the hat and we draw one team out and they win the grand prize.”
Registration for the event can be done by calling the Catholic Social Services office and registering over the phone.
