ZANESVILLE – The Chamber wants to get as much information out as it can to its members and is open to doing so in different ways. The virtual lunch and learn will allow the Chamber of Commerce to do just that.
“Our goal is to have a couple of lunch and learns a month, one of them being with information about the community and different things that are going on and the other one (is) more of a training aspect for employees of the companies that are members of the Chamber of Commerce,” Chamber President Dana Matz said.
While the sessions are for Chamber members only, Matz says there will be a variety of businesses that will take part in the lunch and learns.
“Participants will range. It depends on the size of the business and the area of focus or the information that we already scheduled is a parks and rec series so it’ll cover different aspects from the Wilds, the Muskingum Valley Park District, and the meeting with the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Staff (and) talking about recreational opportunities in the community,” Matz said.
The lunch and learns are planned to take place once or twice a month. They will strictly be done virtually for not, but, Matz said he would perhaps like to conduct them in person depending on the circumstances made by the Corona Virus.
