ZANESVILLE – The new activities began in June and are made possible by a grant from the Zanesville – Muskingum County Health Department.

“The first Wednesday is a pound class with Annie McCarthy, the second week is yoga with Sandy Booth, the third week is Zumba with Tracy Hurlow and the fourth week is yoga with Megyen Green. All of the classes are on Wednesday evenings. The pound classes are 5-6pm the first Wednesday and the other classes are 5:30 to 6:30 the second, third, or fourth Wednesdays of the month,” Park Organizer Lori Wince said.

Diligent social distancing is being practiced for all of the programs. Yoga instructor Sandy Booth says there is a good amount of yoga enthusiasts that come to the park.

“The turnout has been great. Our first class was 30 people and all ages so we had younger children through older adults and it was very, very popular for the first class,” Yoga Instructor Sandy Booth said.

All of the classes that were mentioned by Wince will run through all of July and August.
