ZANESVILLE – The check comes to recognize Eastside’s services and to also allow the organization to continue its mission.
The local Masons presented a check of $2,250 to Eastside Monday morning. The Masons are a charitable organization and it feels like Eastside is very deserving of the donation.
“Their food pantry and support of children after school in the area is extremely valuable and we are very much appreciative of their efforts,” Muskingum County Mason’s Dave Artman said.
The Masons frequently donate to food organizations within Muskingum, Noble, and Monroe Counties. Artman said that Eastside was a no-brainer to receive this check and he feels that the food pantry isn’t appreciated just by the Masons, but, the community as whole.
“We hope to have continued support of this organization. I’m sure that there are many organizations within the community that feel the same way about it. Their efforts are very much appreciated,” Artman said.
Artman also said that he hopes one of the nearby Masonic districts will present Eastside with a check of $500 in the future.
