ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Merle Norman and the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center are kicking off “Smooches for Pooches” this month.
Deputy Dog Warden Alisha Myers introduced us to Baby at the store on Brandywine Boulevard.
“Baby is the perfect dog. She knows so many commands. She’s set to be spayed on Thursday. She’s such a sweetheart. She never runs out of kisses for anybody. She is good with older children. She could probably be too much for younger children and she’s probably too much for cats as well.”
Owner of Merle Norman Sharon Shaner says every one-dollar-donation is matched. Customers who get a free makeup consultation are encouraged to donate.
“What we’re doing in March is we are helping dogs like Baby get adopted in when you come in for your makeover in March, bring a dollar donation, we’ll match that and we’ll match that and give the proceeds to the adoption center.”
At the store, you can also buy chocolate bars and those proceeds will be matched as well.
To meet Baby, go to the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center.
