ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Do you know how to file your FAFSA? Two local colleges are coming together to help high school students prepare for college.

Zane State College and Ohio University Zanesville Campus center is hosting College Night 2020. On Thursday, March 12 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. there will be panel discussions on financial aid, college life, entrance exams and admissions.

Ohio College Guide Megan Smith says over 20 $250 scholarships will be awarded that night.

“It really is a win-win. You may have parents who went to college in the past but the process of applying has really, really changed. So coming to get the most up-to-date and current information, I think, is really valuable and that there are a lot of people in the community that want to provide you with scholarships.”

The event is for students and parents of students in grades 7th through 12th.

“It is free to attend. We would really like people to go to our website at, click on events and register. That gives us an idea of how to better serve you. And I would reccommend bringing if you’re a senior and you’ve recieved your Ed Award letters you might wanna go to the presentation about understanding your financial aid award letter. So bring any pertinant information for your situation.”
