Zanesville library offers free classes for business owners

Local News

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Tuesday night, the John McIntire Library will be holding a class for those interested in growing their business.

The PR Assistant for the Muskingum County Library System says the classes are held in conjunction with Ohio University to help small business owners.

“You would pay a lot of money to actually have these courses if you actually went out and got them yourself but we’re offering them free. And they’re for local people who are interested in growing their business or even starting a small business.”

The class on Tuesday will be from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a second class on February 25th at the same time.

“It’s open to anyone who wants to come we do have registration for it. So we make sure we have enough seats. They’re going to focus on different things each month. This month they’re going to be talking about quick books. So how to keep your books organized, using online resources or your computer system. Next month they’re going to talk about the BOSS — is what they call it. The Basics Of Starting a Successful business. So anyone from any sort of business background — again if you’re thinking of starting one, come out and see us, it will be a great resource for you.”

To register for the class, contact the library’s reference desk at 740-453-0391 or go to their website.
