ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Saturday afternoon, the Zanesville Museum of Art opened it’s doors to troops for Girl Scout Day.
Education Coordinator for the museum Misty Johnson says they’re a partner with the scouts and help host art-related badge earning opportunities.
“We are running a Girl Scout Day. So we’re community partners with the Girl Scouts of Ohio Heartland and through that partnership, we can provide these awesome, art-related badge experiences.”
Scout Alyssa Perdue says being a member is more than just selling cookies.
“You get to learn business-ship and you get to learn new skills that help you for the future and you get to sell cookies which is pretty awesome too. Other than selling cookies, we go on adventures like camping, hiking, and we get to do cool events and — it’s pretty cool.”
Johnson says they’re holding an upcoming event with Brownie Troops at the museum. For more information, go to their website.
