UPDATE: Sheriff Barker lifted the snow emergency at 9:00 a.m. Monday
Perry Co. Sheriff William R. Barker has issued a Level 1 Snow Emergency for his county.
The official declaration was given at 12:39p.m. Sunday. A brisk round of snow had fallen in parts of Perry County at that time, and some roads began to accumulate snow.
A Level 1 Snow Emergency means blowing and drifting snow is possible, and motorists are advised to drive slowly & carefully.
