ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Kids had one last chance to talk with Old Saint Nick as he prepares the nice list for the year.

The Zanesville Civic League Community Center held cookies with Santa Sunday afternoon.

“Today we’re calling it ‘Cookies with Santa.’ Basically if you pay $5 — it’s a $5 donation — basically you come in and we have several different crafts we’re offering. And then at the end of the craft you basically start — well — you start with taking a selfie with Santa and then after you take the selfie with Santa, you just go from station to station and then the last station you will make cookies and then basically send you out the door. “

The Assistant Director of the facility Adonis Brooks says this is a a way for the civic league to give back to the community.

“This is just something to try to give back to the community to give parents, who might be last-minute shopping, just to give them the opportunity. They can drop them off here. We are a community center for the ones who might not know. We operate Monday through Friday — so we do house after school here. We have a summer camp here. We also have martial arts. So it’s basically a safe haven for parents or guardians or grandparents. “

There was also letters children could write for Santa as well as candle making and reindeer crafts.
