ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Visitors to the National Road Zane Grey Museum were greeted with holiday cheer for their open house Sunday.
Director of Education for the Muskingum County Branch of Museums Betsy Taylor says the day it’s an opportunity for the museum to give back to the area.
“We do it as kind of a holiday gift to the community. We really enjoy what we do and so we like to draw people in if we can and this is a great time to do this.”
Along with general tours there were crafts like buckeye necklaces and bird feeders. Taylor says there was music and other things for people to enjoy.
“This is our holiday open house and we do this every year and this year we have some of our traditional crafts. We also have wonderful musical entertainment by ‘The Four Cousins,’ and they been with us before as well and they’re very popular. And not only are they performing but they’re also inviting sing-a-longs with traditional Christmas music.”
