ZANESVILLE, Ohio — A fundraiser featuring the works of a local Muskingum Co. startup is set for tomorrow evening, Thursday, Oct. 10.
The Sip & Shop Fundraiser will help raise money for LifeWell Kids After School Program, and will be held at Bryan Place, in downtown Zanesville.
“We’re located at this time on Euclid Avenue in the Fellowship Hall beside the Euclid United Methodist Church. We’ve been there a couple of years now. We provide after-school homework help, a hot meal in the evenings, open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. We help the kids with homework. We provide a safe place, a safe environment for them to play, fellowship,” says Tara Wilson, Board Member at LifeWell.
The evening will also include a sneak peek at the holiday collection from Dresden & Company.
“We’re basically a brand new company, we’re based out of Dresden, Ohio. It’s direct sales and we have baskets and pottery. Most of our products are made locally within just a few miles of where we’re standing today. We really had the vision to put people back to work, to give people jobs,” Brenton Baker, Dresden & Company Marketing & Communications Director, tells WHIZ News.
The event is planned Thursday evening from five until seven at Bryan Place.
