NEW CONCORD, Ohio – Muskingum University was recently recognized on the U.S News and World Report’s “Best College Rankings” in three different categories.
They ranked eighth in Midwest Best Value School, 18th in Top Performers on Social Mobility, and 46th in Midwest Regional Universities. Enrollment and Marketing Vice President, Steven Soba said this is something the university is very proud of and the staff works hard each day to get where they are today.
“We think this is a recognition that yes, you can take your hard earned cash and invest in yourself or your child and that education is going to benefit them for a lifetime. We are proud of the fact that we are putting forward a value as a university, that people are going to not only be able to afford but then translate that into a degree, that is going to help them for the rest of their lives,” Soba said.
Soba said the reason he believes Muskingum University is so successful, is because they keep their costs down for a private school. Soba said this is a great achievement, and they want to continue to get better and better.
“It is something to build on. Like any goal in life you achieve something better than you have done in recent years and it gives you enthusiasm. It reinforces as I said earlier, it reinforces that we are doing some fantastic things and I think that it gives the entire Muskingum University community the motivation and inspiration and enthusiasm to keep growing and get even better,” Soba added.
Soba said these rankings prove what they are doing is working out, but he said they want to keep working hard to grow.
