Multiple county high speed semi chase

COSHOCTON COUNTY, Ohio – Authorities say a suspect is in custody after leading several law enforcement agencies on a high speed chase that ended in Coshocton County.

The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office reports that the driver of a semi truck, 47-year-old Stephen Wolfe, was arrested without incident just before 3pm Monday afternoon in the 1600 block of Evergreen Park Drive. The chase of the semi began in Wyandot County and travelled into Franklin, Licking and Muskingum counties before ending in Coshocton County. The pursuit forced the Coshocton City Schools to go on an exterior lockdown for about 20 minutes.

Wolfe is currently being held at the Coshocton County Justice Center, pending the filing of formal charges. Multiple agencies assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with this pursuit, including the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office, Licking County Sheriff’s Office, Coshocton County EMA, REACT and Prince’s Wrecker Service. This incident remains under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
