NASHPORT, Ohio – If you’re cruising down Interstate 70, it is hard to miss the American Flag flying at American Pride Power Equipment.

Now American Pride Owner, Ryan Dodson has another amazing display of Old Glory. He recently built this 90 by 47 foot, American flag made of glass chunks that illuminates at night at his home in Nashport. Dodson said it is all about freedom and having pride for the free country we live in.

“Well, I mean the flag really represents freedom to me. You know, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and free enterprise and so this flag and the one at the store is meant to serve as a sign of gratitude to God for allowing me to be born in a free country and to the men and women in our military who preserve and protect our freedoms,” said Dodson.

Dodson said it was a summer long project, but it looks amazing from the sky and is easily visible from a plane at night. He said several contractors made this project possible.

“Beau Hartman of Hartman Landscape and Nick Ritchey of Zanesville Steel and Russ Nelson of Nelson’s Seasonal Decor are the key contractors involved. There were several others and they designed the frame and we went from gravel to glass and with the lighting under it, it has the cool effect at night during so you can see it from the sky,” said Dodson.

Dodson added he hopes this flag serves as an inspiration to entrepreneurs everywhere that the American Dream is still alive and well, and with a lot of hard work and determination, anyone can be successful in the U-S.
