Muskingum County Commissioners begin bidding on new blacktop for Juvenile Court

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Muskingum County Commissioners participated in a bidding in effort to repair the parking lot of the Muskingum County Juvenile Court and the back of Muskingum County Child Support.

County Commissioner President, Cindy Cameron, explained how the renovations are estimated to cost $175,000 and they received two bids for the project.

“We had two bids, so we were pleased with that, and they were both well under the estimate so we will go over that with the engineer’s office, Mark Eicher, and then we will award that bid,” said Cameron.

Cameron said the next step in the process is to discuss the bids with the county engineer as the least expensive option isn’t always the go to.

“So he will go over just to make sure that everything’s met. It’s not always necessarily the least expensive, so he will go over that and then we will award that bid,” added Cameron.

Cameron said that the completion deadline for this project is November 15th of this year.
