Farmer’s Market moves Downtown due to fair

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – While the 173rd Muskingum County Blue Ribbon Fair was going on Saturday, the Zanesville Farmer’s Market moved to 3rd Street, Downtown.

One vendor that made the move downtown was Shriner Farms from Thornville. Peggy Shriner said the Farmer’s Market is typically downtown on Wednesday, so it was not a big adjustment for them. Shriner said they regularly attend the market, and Shriner Farm sells a few different kinds of sweet corn.

“We are selling our sweet corn. We have been at the market through July and August. We are getting towards the end of our season on sweet corn and today we have a yellow and a white and a bi-color. Shriner added, “Well, it helps out the farmer and they also get fresh produce. that was picked recently.

While this weeks Farmer’s Market was downtown. The next Saturday market will be back at the Fairgrounds.
