COSHOCTON COUNTY, Ohio – The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a one vehicle fatal accident.
On Thursday, August 15th at approximately 3:56 pm, they received a 911 call in reference to a motor vehicle accident near the address of 45772 County Rd 405. Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was found that a Toyota truck had gone off the left side of the road, over an embankment, overturned, and struck a tree.
The driver of the vehicle was ejected from the vehicle and was pinned beneath the truck. A nearby resident was able to extricate the driver and started CPR. The driver sustained severe injuries as a result of the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Coshocton County Coroner Dr. Robert Gwinn.
The name of the driver is being withheld pending notification of family members. Assisting at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, Prince’s Wrecker Service, and the Walhonding Valley Fire Department. This accident remains under investigation at this time.
