Three-vehicle fatal crash on SR 666

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Zanesville State Troopers are investigating a three-vehicle fatal crash.

The incident occurred at 3:30pm Friday afternoon on State Route 666 in Madison Township. According to Sgt. Jeffrey Jirles, a 2012 GMC Acadia driven by 27-year-old Nikki Lunn of Zanesville collided with 2 Harley Davidson motorcycles. The motorcycles were driven by 30-year-old Dustin Spence of Glenford and 30-year-old Dustin Phillis also of Glenford.

Spence was pronounced dead at the scene by the Muskingum County Coroner’s Office while Phillis was transported to Genesis Hospital for treatment.

Sgt. Jirles said witnesses report Lunn was passing other traffic in a no passing zone when she struck both of the motorcycles. The incident remains under investigation.
