ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Green Valley Golf Course will be having the Veterans Appreciation Wall Dedication for the memorial wall behind the 10th tee box.

The celebration will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, and will pay respects to Muskingum County veterans, living and deceased. PGA Head Golf Professional at Green Valley, Steve Galloway said it is important to honor the men and woman of our military, and the memorial wall is something to be proud of.

“We wanted to do something special here at Green Valley for our veterans and I went out and talked to Michael Lones and this is what we came up with, and like I said, but it took us almost three years in the making but I think it is a beautiful wall and of course it is honoring our veterans and what better way could we do that,” said Galloway.

Galloway said the V.F.W, American Legion, Color Guard, Honor Guard and even the Zanesville High School J.R.O.T.C program will be in attendance.

“So, we will have plenty of military presence here and along with all of the dignitaries. It is going to be a great day. We got someone to sing the National Anthem, Taps will be played, along with some other patriotic music,” Galloway added.

Galloway appreciates everyone that has helped put this event together, and looks forward to celebrating and honoring the veterans Saturday.
