ATV Accident Injures Teens

An ATV crash injured two West Lafayette teens in Coshocton County on Thursday.

The sheriff’s office said just before 3PM they received a 911 call in reference to an accident with injuries at 51944 Lafayette Township Road 159 involving an ATV.

Deputies said that a 12-year-old male driver and his 17-year-old female passenger were traveling east on Township Road 159 when the driver lost control, went off the right side of the road and rolled at least one time.

The sheriff’s office said the teens weren’t wearing helmets and the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Deputies said both teens sustained critical injuries and were transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center.
