JUNCTION CITY, Ohio – Junction City had their Fourth of July celebration Sunday afternoon at the Junction City Park.
The festivities included all types of games, carnival food, food trucks, live music and even a car show. The night was capped off with the Dallas Band and a fireworks display. Committee Member, Katrina McGlothlin said this event has been going on for years now and it is great to see the community come together and celebrate.
“Well, it’s just nice our community together, like our local vendors, so that people know what is available in the community. It is just something for the kids to have fun in a hot summer month and celebrate the 4th of July, Independence Day,” said McGlothlin.
The car show was also a huge event this year. They had a variety of classic cars, along with modern cars. She said the event has grown throughout the years, but believes it can get even bigger.
“It has grown a lot. Our vendors stretch clear down in front of the community building. Our car show has grown so much that we have to park in the soccer field now. It has grown a lot and if we get more community involvement, more volunteers or something really big that we are always looking for, we can make this even bigger,” added McGlothlin.
Mcglothlin wants to give a big thanks to all of the sponsors, all of the volunteers, and all of the people that came out to enjoy the day.
