ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Muskingum County Community Foundation recently dispersed their annual grants.
The annual distribution of more than $227,000 in grants were made to several organizations, universities, and groups. The annual grants come from the endowed funds the Foundation holds. Donors have set up the funds to benefit organizations that they are passionate about and would like to support on an annual basis in perpetuity.
“Every year we’re making these kinds of grants back into our community, back into the region to impact and support these organizations,” said Muskingum County Community Foundation CEO, Brian Wagner.
The amount of the distributions can range from $100 to thousands of dollars. Wagner added that the benefits of the money that is used within the organizations, universities, and groups will eventually also benefit the residents of Muskingum County.
“That is an opportunity for these organizations that receive these dollars to know that one, they’re going to get these annual distributions, some money is coming in. But also to know the fact that they can count on those dollars year in and year out to make an impact into their programming and support the people that they serve,” he said.
