ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan County accepted a check today, after a fundraiser at Dutro Ford.

The Drive 4 Your Community Event took place in April, a fundraiser where Ford donated $20 for every car test drove. For the third year, the community came out to support the event and the 300 car maximum was hit.

M.P.M.C United Way Executive Director, Meg Deedrick said, “Well, we are so thrilled to pair with Dutro for our Drive 4 Your Community event and collectively, since we have been doing this for the past five years, we have raised over 20 thousand dollars that gets reinvested back into community programming to fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community we serve.”

The check was for a substantial $6,000, Deedrick said this will go a long way helping the United Way.

“We’ve already committed funds to support initiatives in health, education and financial stability and it is important to note that every donor dollar that is raised in this event and across the board goes into community programming,” deedrick added.

The United Way thanks Dutro and the Ford Motor Company for their continued support.
