ZANESVILLE, Ohio–Emergency crews are being dispatched to various locations across the Zanesville area due to downed power lines after a storm swept through the area Monday afternoon.
At around 4:45 p.m., a tornado warning was issued for Muskingum, Guernsey, and Coshocton counties.
A strong storm hit the Zanesville area just before 5:00 p.m. bringing heavy downpours and strong winds.
There are reports of a tree on fire at 1203 Elm Street in Zanesville that knocked down powers lines. The road has been closed as crews assess the situation.
There is also a report of downed power lines in the Moorehead Avenue area.
