ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville Museum of Art is hosting the state-wide juried 74th Ohio Annual exhibition.
The opening will have live music by the Brady Israel Trio, refreshments and a cash bar. Zanesville’s Museum of Art Office Manager Krysten Smart said there will be a variety of art on display.
“We have selected, out 353 works, 48 works have been accepted and will be on display,” Smart said. “We have some local artists in the show. We have two, of the 48 artists featured, are from Zanesville. They’re Jennifer Sands and Nora Daniel.”
The distinguished guest juror, Scot Phillips, Operations Manager at Massillon Museum, will award a cash prize for Best in Show and other categories. The event brings artists and lovers of art together to celebrate their work.
“It is an excellent way to get exposure for their art. A lot of them have other items that they create. We are actually featuring some of them in our museum store so at the opening we will have new items that will be available for purchase in our museum store,” Smart said.
The opening is on Thursday, June 20th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. To learn more about the event, visit the Zanesville Museum of Art website.
