Driver Cited in Licking River Accident

The Highway Patrol has released more information from the accident that resulted in a vehicle in the Licking River. Troopers from the Zanesville Post says 16-year-old Dayla Dever of Frazeysburg was traveling east on Licking Road, just west of Burnham Boiler, lost control, struck a guardrail and went into the river. The trooper says the driver and two passengers were able to swim to shore and were not injured. Dever was cited by the patrol with Failure to Control. The accident happened around 11:30 am Tuesday.
