ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Recovery Nation Community Celebration is a chance for the community to come together and a time to be determined.
The event is to support those who are personally going through recovery or know someone who is going through it. Co-Owner of Recovery Nation Apparel Ember Ridgley said they are excited to host their first event.
“Muskingum Behavioral Health is teaming up with us to get this thing rolling. We just wanted to show our community what recovery is and that recovery is possible,” Ridgley said. “Spread help, raise awareness and most importantly bring our community together for a sober party.”
Ridgley said they want to show the community the successful, amazing people that are in recovery. Jam Alker a musician, Alexis O’Neal Corey a vocalist and Amy Dresner a comedian will be speaking at the event about their experiences in recovery.
“We were lucky enough by having Recovery Nation Apparel to travel the U.S. ourselves for two years and go to all of the events that other states have had and experience something that we have never experienced in our entire life. The people that we have met and that we have decided to bring to Zanesville were people who had what we wanted in recovery,” Ridgley said.
The community celebration is Saturday, March 23rd at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds Veterans Building from 1 to 5 p.m and will include free food. If you would like to learn more about Recovery Nation Apparel, you can visit their website.
