Two-vehicle injury accident on I-70

PERRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Zanesville State Troopers are investigating a two-vehicle injury accident that occurred Wednesday night on Interstate 70 in Perry Township.

According to Sgt. Jeffrey Jirles, 43-year-old Joshua Chrisman of New Concord, was driving a 2012 FedEx delivery van when he collided with the rear of a tractor trailer driven by 61-year-old Edward Crystaloski of Cleveland.

Chrisman sustained serious injuries and was transported to Genesis by New Concord EMS and then transferred to Grant Medical Center. Crystaloski was not injured.

Perry Township and New Concord firefighters all responded to the scene. The highway patrol’s motor carrier enforcement unit is assisting with an inspection of the semi. The crash remains under investigation.
