Doggie Day: Remus

Local News

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A gentle giant is currently residing at the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center.

Remus is a bloodhound mix and is about 6 years old. Deputy Dog Warden Brittany Calihan said he needs a home where he can just be lazy and lay in the sun.

“He doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs but if you have a dog you can bring them out, they can meet. I think he definitely would do good in a home,” Calihan said.

Remus is not a fan of cats or farm animals, but he is great with people. Calihan said he does have a very calm personality.

“He’s so relaxed. I mean he’s easy to walk, he’s probably the easiest dog to walk and he’s the biggest dog we have. He just wants to hang out, lay out in the sun all day but I think he would also really enjoy a nice warm home. Getting to have a nice soft bed,” Calihan said.

She does want to warn those who are interested in him, he does like to howl. If you are interested in giving Remus his forever home, call the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center at (740) 453-0273.
