Coshocton County authorities said alcohol and speed are believed to have caused an accident that killed a Coshocton woman.
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office said 19-year-old Destiny Stull, of Coshocton, suffered severe injuries and was pronounced deceased, after her 2005 Buick was struck by 49-year-old Michael D. Hamilton, of Fresno.
The accident took place just before 11:55 Friday night on U.S. Route 36 near Lafayette Township Road 509 when the vehicle driven by Hamilton was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane and caused the collision.
Authorities said Hamilton was trapped in his vehicle and after being extricated by West Lafayette Fire Department was transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center. He was then taken by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. His condition is unknown at this time.
This incident remains under investigation at this time.
