United Way of MPM: Facebook Live Investment Meeting

Local News

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – If your organization is looking to apply for funding through United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties, there is a new process to be aware of.

There is a training that will provide information on organization goals, the funding process and requirements to access funding. Community Impact Director Becky Clawson said watching the Facebook live virtual meeting is mandatory for all potential applicants.

“Normally we would to this meeting in person at a public place and we would schedule a meeting room and everybody would drive in but we’re doing things a little bit differently so technology has allowed us to be a little more accessible to people,” Clawson said.

In order for United Way to know what organizations are watching the live meeting, they do ask that someone from the group comments that they are participating and interact throughout the process. Clawson said this is the most information that will be provided to organizations so it is important to follow along.

“We make an investment every year, usually in the neighborhood of $400,000 to $450,000 a year depending on what we’re funding and it goes a long way. We serve many many organizations across Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties and we’re looking for organizations to come to the table so that we can have a collective impact,” Clawson said.

The Facebook live will take place on Monday, February 25th at 2:00 p.m. on the United Way Facebook page. Once applicants watch the meeting they must submit a letter of intent by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1st. Documents required are on the United Way of MPM website.
