ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The annual Zanesville District Golf Association Golf Show has been going on for over 20 years.

The show takes place at Eaglesticks Golf Club and it provides the opportunity for those with a love of golf to have a little fun. Zanesville Country Club’s Head Golf Professional Mike Durant said it is a new and improved show.

“The reason for our show is we raise money for our tournament program,” Durant said. “Our pride and joy is our junior golf tournament program, amateurs, and senior amateurs and we’re adding a women’s tournament this year.”

Durant said that kids in the community hold a special place in the association’s heart and that they sent six students off to school with over $6,500 in scholarships. There will be vendors at the event as well as games for everyone to play.

“We have a putt-putt tournament, long drive contest, a locker draw, a spin board. So you’re going to have a lot of options to try to win some prizes,” Durant said.

The event is Saturday, February 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and tickets are $5 at any local golf course or at the door. It is free for those who are 18-years-old and under with a paid adult.
