Doggy Days: Billy

Local News

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center has a new furry friend to show off to the community.

Meet Billy. Billy is a pit mix, and has been at the Dog Warden and Adoption Center since September. He has become a favorite at the Center, he is great with baths and loves to cuddle. Billy does come with his quirks though, and he needs to be an only dog.

“He is an escape artist. He can climb any fence and get out. Even with a roof, he managed to get out. And he needs to be an only dog. It’s not that he doesn’t like them. It’s just that we feel more comfortable being the only pet in the house,” said Deputy Dog Warden, Brittany Calihan.

Billy’s adoption fee is $105, he is already neutered and ready to meet his new family.

“Then they get adopted, and they send us pictures of how happy it is. It really changes their life when they get to a good environment,” Calihan added.

If you’re interested in meeting Billy, visit the Dog Warden and Adoption Center, their service hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
