ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A pizza shop has reopened in a new location in the Putnam area.
Koky’s Pizza, which closed a little over a year ago, has now reopened as Koky’s Family Restaurant in 216 Hazlett Court. Owner Randy Case said he wasn’t quite sure the reopening would happen after his business partner back out, but thanks to the generosity of the building owners he was able to get up and running again. Case said it’s great to be back and that Stromboli is still their most popular item.
“Even while we were closed I literally had people contacting me on Facebook saying you need to reopen or I am coming to your house and you have to make me a Stromboli,” said Case.
Case said he plans on expanding the menu to include more traditional family meals like spaghetti and meatballs and meatloaf. He said their goal is just to be a nice Mom and Pop family restaurant.
“I want to start adding a daily special as soon as I can and then just slowly add to where it’s more of a menu for lunch and dinner,” said Case.
With only being open a few days, Case said they are still working out a few kinks and he hopes people can be patient with them until they are fully up and running. For more information about the restaurant, visit them on Facebook at Koky’s Pizza.
