How to Avoid Losing Your New Year’s Resolution Motivation

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Now that the new year is here, resolution goals are going to start kicking in.

Most people with the goal of eating healthier and working out more, tend to lose motivation after the first few weeks or months. The Fieldhouse Sports and Wellness Center wants to help people achieve their fitness goals all year round.

Jim Fraunfelter the new Outgoing Director said, “The biggest thing is your going to have good days, you’re going to have bad days. The suns out shining and your coming in here and you’re thinking of many ways to get out of it. You have to be your motivating factor.”

Fraunfelter said they have one man that works out at the Fieldhouse and has lost 100 pounds. For some, working out alone can make it easier to lose that motivation so working with a personal trainer, like Katie Snider, can help keep you in the gym.

“So I always instill with my clients, you have to find a love of movement and when you find what you love, what you like doing and coming in every single day at the gym. That’s going to keep your motivation and your adherence to any type of program or any type of workout schedule that you’re on,” Snider said.
