ZANESVILLE, Ohio – There is now an outdoor recreation destination and trail guide for Muskingum County.
It is filled with a variety of outdoor activities for locals and tourists to explore. Kelly Ashby, Vice President of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, said it has information about hiking, biking, and boating of all kinds.
“We really just have fantastic trails. We have lots of folks that already travel here to do our mountain biking trails so we’re absolutely thrilled to have this piece and encourage more travelers to come into the area to use Muskingum County as an outdoor recreation destination,” Ashby said.
The guide has information about the water trails and the fire tower at Blue Rock, which is available for people to climb. Ashby said this is a great way for people to get out there enjoy nature.
“We have fantastic rolling hills and great landscape and fall foliage and just the changing of the seasons so we have a lot going for us right here in Muskingum County,” Ashby said.
You can find the trail guide at the Welcome Center or you can find the information on the Visit Zanesville website. You can also download the Visit Zanesville app for outdoor activity information.
