ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Jingle Rock is the name of the exhibit for this month’s featured artist at ZAAP.
Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project will feature the artwork of Sharon Dean for December. Dean said most of her inspiration comes from music and the concerts she gets to attend.
“I always say that music is the heartbeat of the universe and art is my song and this is what I have to say,” said Dean. “All of music inspires me probably more than anything else.”
Dean said she draws on the feelings and emotions of concerts and often live paints during events. She said she does try and cover the entire spectrum of genres and concepts in a colorful way and hopes that her artwork can share some of the joy life brings.
“I definitely want them to feel the joy that music and life brings to me,” said Dean.
Dean’s artwork will be on display at ZAAP during the first Friday Art Walk and through the month of December.
