ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A big part of the holidays is helping neighbors in need.
Santa Claus said out of all the places he visits, Muskingum County is one of the most giving communities and that the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree is a great way to help those in need.
“Good people have come together, take the angel off the tree, they go shopping for a child they’ve never met and never seen and to make sure that child has a toy,” said Mr. Claus. “And that means so much to so many.”
Mr. Claus said no child should be without a gift on Christmas and that helping the children on the tree receive gifts is a great way to spread holiday cheer.
“And it just spreads cheer,” said Mr. Cluas. “And if you plant the seed of rice, you get rice and if you plant the seed of love, you get love. This is the seed of love.”
Mr. Claus wants to invite everyone to come to visit the Angel Tree at Colony Square Mall and maybe stop by and see him too. Any gifts for the Angel Tree need to be brought in by December 11th.
