ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Muskingum County Library System is getting into the holiday spirit.

This is the first year that they have put up interior Christmas decorations. There are three trees, including a book tree, for people to see while they are reading or checking out.

Caitlynn Melick, Youth Services Manager at MCLS said, “So I’m encouraging everyone to come down into the library to see those. We also have a photo op for kids. So come in, get your picture taken and post it on social media.”

There is a free family night performance Thursday, November 29th at 6:30 p.m. that is a game show style performance involving the audience and the Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati is attending for reindeer games. Seats are first come first serve so if you want to attend, they do ask that you arrive 15 minutes before the performance.

“Oh it’s so exciting for us but for the kids to come in and get to experience, especially these performances that you would normally have to go out and pay for and they get to really enjoy them. It’s great for us. It’s really great for them to be here and enjoy that energy too,” Melick said.

On Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1st, there will be a Buck-A-Bag Sale. To find more information you can check the newsletter or go to their website.
