Santa’s Arrival at Colony Square Mall

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Today was the celebration of Santa’s arrival in Zanesville at the Colony Square Mall.

Breakfast with Santa was this morning at 8 a.m. in the food court. There was food from Edie’s Deli, and special guests for the children were Rudolph, Frosty, and Cosmo the Mall Dog. Free gifts were also given out to the kids. Marketing and Special Leasing Representative of Colony Square Mall, Kevin Pinson, says there was a great turn out of people to spend time with Santa.

“Yes, we haven’t gotten official numbers yet, but I would say there was about 250 people for it, so it was a great turn out,” said Pinson.

At 10 a.m. Santa’s Arrival Parade began with law enforcement vehicles, American Legion, Dollar General, dance units, and of course Santa. Pinson says this is the day everyone can just be kids.

“We love to see Santa. Probably my greatest thrill is I come out and watch the kids when they first see Santa come around that corner, that makes all the work we put into it worth it,” he said.
