ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Double, double toil and trouble.
It was all black hats and broomsticks at the Zanesville Day Nursery Witches Luncheon and Tea fundraiser. The President of the Board of Trustees Deidra Corbett-Ihlenfeld from the preschool said the event is a fundraiser to help them improve the school.
“Everything is for the improvement and for the benefit of the children that we serve to enhance everything that they’re doing, their learning, and make things more conducive for learning,” said Corbett-Ihlenfeld.
She said the money that they raise from the luncheon will go towards beautification of the school including new playground equipment and classroom updates.
“We’re looking at upgrading some of the classrooms, some of the flooring,” said Corbett-Ihlenfeld. “We’re also looking at beautification and also restoring some of the playground equipment and some of the playgrounds in the front and the back of the Zanesville Day Nursery.”
Corbett-Ihlenfeld said the witches were able to enjoy artwork by the preschool children, raffles and a silent auction, along with the lunch.
