ZANESVILLE, Ohio- United Way is inviting the public on October 19th to join United on the Square.
Three local food truck vendors will be on the Courthouse Square selling lunch to the public. A portion of the proceeds will go back to the local community.
“Every bit of proceeds will go back and impact community members, and be able to provide people resources in health education and financial stability,” said Katie McNeil, United Way Director of Resource Development.
McNeil also says that as more community conversations are held, they realized there are more people in need of resources. She thinks this event is a fun and easy way to raise money. United Way also wanted to get new partners involved for the event.
“We just wanted to do something different to generate a little bit of extra money back for the local community,” McNeil included.
United on the Square will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
