DRESDEN, Ohio — Tri-Valley senior Alyssa Shawger signed on the dotted line this afternoon, and will continue both her athletic and academic career at Marietta college where she will play golf for the Pioneers.

Alyssa, like fellow Scottie Annie Priest, who also signed her Letter of Intent to Marietta last week, is a standout both in the classroom and on the field as well.

In her four years at Tri-Valley, Alyssa maintained a cumulative 4.0 GPA, was named Academic All-Ohio, five times received the Scholar-Athlete Award, and was a member of the National Honor Society.

On the links, Alyssa was a four-year letter winner, the team Captain, three-year MVP, MVL tournament medalist, and three times was selected to the East District’s first-team.

Alyssa heads to Marietta after their first year of having a women’s golf team since 2002. In their first year back, the Pioneers had the OAC Player of the Year, along with the Co-Coach of the Year in Tom Arison.

Congratulations to Alyssa on a fantastic career at Tri-Valley, and best of luck at the next level!
