John Glenn ready for rematch with Tri-Valley

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Muskingum Valley League boys basketball championship could be clinched outright by Tri-Valley on Tuesday night. John Glenn is going to try to make sure that doesn’t happen.

The Scotties and Little Muskies will play Tuesday night in the Fish Tank. A win for JG would keep them alive in the race for the MVL crown. However, if the Scotties can go on the road and get the victory, then they’ll take the league title for the second year in a row.

The first time they played in January in Dresden it was the Dawgs who came away with a 64-51 win. However, Little Muskie senior Justin Heacock said this John Glenn team has gotten much better since their first meeting.

“We’ve been working on stuff that we need to fix. We’re more in a rhythm now. We’re playing better now. I feel like we’re overall just more of a better team now,” said Heacock.

Tuesday’s game tips off in New Concord at 7:30. You can listen to the game on Z92 Radio and streaming online at
