John Glenn rolls past West M to keep pace in MVL

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The John Glenn Little Muskies improved to 11-3 on the season, and 8-1 in MVL play after a 93-51 rout of West Muskingum on Tuesday night.

The Scotties held a comfortable, albeit not insurmountable, 38-23 halftime lead, until Shane Bonner and John Glenn’s press-defense took over in the second-half. Bonner lead all Muskies on the night with 19 points.

Bonner wasn’t the only Little Muskie to have a big night though, as five of his teammates reached double figures as well. Casey Smith added 14 points, Justin Heacock, Nick Meinert, and Josh Raley each chipped in 12, while Sam Kumler had 11 himself.

John Glenn outscored West M 30-14 in the the third quarter to open up a 68-37 lead, aided by a 33-16 rebounding advantage.

John Glenn is back in action on Friday night when they welcome the Crooksville Ceramics to New Concord. West M also hits the floor on Friday when they travel to Maysville to take on the Panthers.
