NEW CONCORD, Ohio — With the Tri-Valley loss, and a 50-36 win over Philo on Tuesday night, the John Glenn Little Muskies have moved into a tie for first-place in the MVL.
John Glenn jumped on Philo early, opening a 14-5 lead after the first quarter. Philo would flip the tables defensively in the second quarter however, holding the Little Muskies to just three points in the second eight minutes to send the two teams to their respective locker rooms tied at 17 at the half.
Hunter Moore lead all scorers on the night for Philo with 15 points; he also added 11 rebounds. Teammate Lane Deal chipped in 11 points and nine rebounds as well.
Josh Raley, who scored nine points on the night, hit a three-point shot for the game’s first basket, but the Little Muskies would go 0-11 from the three-point range for the remainder of the game.
Despite a sub-par shooting performance, John Glenn improved to 6-1 in MVL play. Tri-Valley has one more league win, now 7-1 after their loss to Sheridan on Tuesday night.
Casey Smith lead John Glenn in scoring with 10 points.
The Little Muskies are back in action on Friday when they travel to Maysville to take on the Panthers.
