ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The Philo Lady Electrics rallied from a 17-point deficit, but ultimately came up short in their 54-44 loss to Logan in the Route 40 Classic.
Philo managed just 13 points in the first half, while struggling to slow down the Lady Chiefs who managed to take a 30-13 lead in the locker rooms.
The Electrics cut the lead to as few as eight in the third quarter before heading the fourth trailing 39-28. Shelly Irvin scored 6 fourth-quarter points, and Destiny Hutcheson scored 5 of her 13 points in the final frame where the Electrics cut the Logan lead to as few as four-points.
The Lady Chiefs, through free throws at the end, ultimately pull away for the 54-44 victory. Muniah Davis lead all scorers on the day with 22 points for Logan.
Bethany Colling lead Philo with 18 points on the afternoon.
The Lady Electrics play again on Saturday when they host John Glenn in Duncan Falls.
