ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Another Muskingum County Fair has come and gone, but organizers are very happy with the entire week of fun and events.

WHIZ-TV caught up with Fair Board President, Darrel Cubbison, Saturday afternoon, and said he was extremely impressed with all of the shows this year, adding that the Martina McBride concert was just the icing on the cake.

“We’ve had fantastic weather, fantastic shows everywhere, said Cubbison. Not only for our young people with the livestock shows. They’ve been tremendous. We’ve gotten a lot of compliments from all over the state.”

As for attendance, he said they are so far ahead, and there’s no comparison to last year, as they experienced extreme heat and rain. Cubbison hopes everyone that attended the 171st fair, enjoyed the yearly anticipated event.

“Well I just hope people left with smiles. We had some traffic issues getting in and getting out, and this is the largest event of anything that is done here in Muskingum county.”

The final show of the week was the truck, tractor, and semi pull event that took place at 5:30 p.m.
