NEW LEXINGTON, Ohio – Perry County Fair had lower attendance today due to flooding on the mid-way.
Fair Board Director Taundra Householder said heavy rains caused the water to rise up to the benches attached to the picnic tables, which kept people deterred from attending.
“We did have some flooding at the mid-way and at our first row here, but it’s now going down and you can see the concrete,” Householder said.”We’re doing good.”
The Perry County Fair stayed open all day and only had to post pone one rabbit show for 30 minutes. Householder expected attendance to increase tonight for the demolition derby. Tomorrow is the last day of the Perry County Fair.
